The Hannah's Branch and Diamond Creek Railroad is set in 1880's Montana and situated on Hannah's Branch which is a tributary to the Missouri River. The town of Hannah's Branch is named after my 5 year old daughter who loves playing with trains almost as much as I do.
I saw an item on Small Layout Scrapbook where a modeller planned a micro layout inside a computer monitor. I am a computer geek by trade and wanted a layout for my desk that would also fit into the surroundings. I acquired (for free) a barely working Dell 19" monitor. The thing is huge, I gutted it and began work. First, the trackplan:

The layout will be a 3-2-2 Inglenook. In all there will be about 24 structures of various types on the layout. The layout base will be pink foam inserted into the monitor. The hole in the back is perfectly N scale size and will allow access to a cassette fiddle yard. The river Hannah's Branch is in the very front of the layout as seen by the cut out area of the foam.
