Introduction | Mouldsworth | Agglesdale | Dinas | Crofton
Dinas is based upon the junction between the Welsh Highland and the LMS in Carnarvonshire. The layout is under construction and will be an accurate representation of the actual station, having scale length platforms and interchange sidings between the narrow gauge and the main line, with only minor alterations to the railway's geometry in order to fit into the available space.

The club's second O scale layout, also under construction, will have the trains running through open countryside while a working model of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the foreground will feature working boats and locks. The boats will be battery powered and use an underwater guide wire for steering. A pumping station will return the water to the top of the locks in prototype fashion using a pair of beam engines.
The group uses an ingenious method of baseboard support. The layout sits on a sub-frame of hinged main beams and adjustable legs which can be levelled independently of the scenic boards. Therefore it is a simple task to remove and replace the baseboards. The method of support also lends itself well to layout construction and maintenance where individual boards can be removed without disturbing the adjacent sections of the layout.
