Exchange Sidings

From time to time our members may have items for sale or seek second hand models. For initial contact please email, your message will be forwarded to the member who will then get in touch with you by either phone or email. This feature is available free to all members, to place an advert simply post in the "Exchange Sidings" section of our forum, the message will then be copied to this page for wider circulation.

Items for sale, wanted or for exchange

It is a well known fact that tea is the fuel of every model railway exhibition. With this in mind Cheshire Railway Modellers member Jim Mangels has designed a mug with the CRM flag logo proudly displayed. Orders can be made if you would like one of these valuable family heirlooms (also known as dust collectors) or if you would just like to show off at exhibitions and have a posh pot for collecting tea stains in.

(Pre-production sample)

The price is £4.00 including UK/ROI postage. Overseas postal rates available upon request. The mugs will also be available at £3.00 each (by advance request) at selected exhibitions. Sales of the initial twenty mugs are limited to Cheshire Railway Modellers members only on a first come first served basis but if there is sufficient demand a second edition will be ordered. To order yours (limited to two per member) please reply to this thread on the forum.

For Sale - Rocoline Track

Beginners will like Rocoline as you can literally put it together on the floor, without having to worry about fluff etc like you might if using any other type of track (other than Kato). The system clicks together and apart again with ease and there are four connection points at each track part, so the system is more durable than normal peco/horby type track that only uses the fishplates. Someone who has some Rocoline already and is looking to expand it should find this ideal - the curves are R5 and R6 on the passing loop and this whole lot would fit outside an R2 R3 loop perfectly.

The track listed below allows the construction of the track plan above. Any two of the four points can be motorised.
  • 3 boxes of 6x 42510 (G1) As new. Boxed
  • 1 box of 6x 42510 (G1) two tracks require fishplates, two tracks have cut roadbeds otherwise in good condition four others as new. Boxed
  • 1 42512 (G1/2) No Box / otherwise as new
  • 1 box of 42517 (G1/2) As new. Boxed. Power feed section. Same length as 42512, (G1/2)
  • 2 boxes of 42620 (Turnout Motor) As new. Boxed
  • 1 box of 2x 42267 (Track ends) As new. Boxed
  • 1x 42533 (WR15 turnout) As new. Boxed
  • 1x 42532 (WL 15 turnout) As new. Boxed
  • 1x 42582 (R10) No Box / Good condition / roadbed cut (but offcut included)
  • 2x 42525 (R5) No Box / Good condition / roadbed cut
  • 1 box of 42611 (20 isolating fish plates) Only 20 of the original 24 fishplates incuded / otherwise as new
  • 1 box of 6x 42525 (R5) two tracks have cut roadbeds otherwise in good condition four others as new. Boxed
  • 1 box of 6x 42525 (R5) As new. Boxed
  • 1x 42570 (BWl 5/6) As new. Boxed
  • 1x 42571 (BWr 5/6) As new. Boxed

This would cost over £200 new. Hoping to sell the lot for about £125+ ONO. If interested please email.

Note that main dealers continue to stock point motors and the track is fully compatible with the newer Geoline track range which can be used to extend this track.

WANTED

One of our junior members has posted a request for any cheap OO items of stock to help him setting up in the hobby. If you have some old rolling stock or locos that no longer meet up to your specifications (but still work) and would like to help a youngster to stock his first layout please email crmodellers@aol.com with details.

Does anyone have a Bachmann EWS 37 they don't want? One of our members is after one very cheaply. It does not need to be a working model so if you have one that's a bit scratched or not working for whatever reason it would be exactly what is wanted. If you have one available for sale please email.
