Floor mounted transformer unit.

For sale, a hand built transformer box ideal for seperating out 240v and 16v supplies. I used it on my Marston layout which was located in a garage, being floor based with leads up to my control panel I found it worked well.

The box is made in ply 16in long, 8in wide and 7in high and has two carrying handles, there is an 240v supply off/on switch and the transformers are fully enclosed. Internally there are three Gaugemaster transformers, 2 * T1 and 1 * T3 giving 4 * 16v AC feeds and 1 * 24v AC feed. Output is through jack leads, unfortunately I only have 4 available.

The whole unit is quite heavy so ideally I'm looking to find a home in the Cheshire area for it, otherwise shipping will have to be at cost. Price £25 plus shipping costs.

Glossop Station Layout, OO Gauge.

Offered for sale on behalf of Glossop & District MRC, the asking price is £295.00 or near offer.

Built by Glossop & District Model Railway Club, this is an accurate OO scale model of Glossop station before electrification. The layout measures approximately 20x4 feet, wired for DC operation, and is self supporting.

It includes the station forecourt and buildings, goods shed, coal drops, Arundel Street bridge and part of the wood yards stretching to a point just beyond the signalbox where the tracks enter the fiddleyard.

The backscene is hand painted and depicts the scene along Howard Street behind the station and North Road cricket ground behind the signalbox.

Photographs of Stafford Station

One of our members is seeking pictures of Stafford railway station. He has some of the outside taken recently but needs some of the platform side and is not local to the area so a personal visit would be impractical. The photos are required for a modelling project so the member is specifically looking for images of the station, not of trains at the station. Any help would be much appreciated.

Geoscenics is a Cheshire based firm producing graded rocks and ballast suitable for several applications in various scales.
